Hi! I am Abigail Setiadi from Indonesia.
I make fun art for children using gouache and pencils (sometimes digital tools when deadlines are super tight).

My life has had quite a few twists. I grew up competing in swimming and later picked up athletics all the way through university. I thought I could make a living from being a track star, but I got injured often and had to stop.

By then, I had a degree in computer science, but I couldn't be more sure I didn't want a career related to tech. So, I somehow took a job as a teacher (ha!). It was enjoyable. And from interacting with kids all day, every day for years, I discovered kids are the coolest, and they make the most fun and amazing art.

In 2020, when we were all locked up in our houses during the pandemic, I taught myself to make illustrations for children. Spoiler alert: I'm good at this and got a picture book gig. After wrapping up my first project, I decided to become a full-time illustrator.

When I'm not working, I submerge myself in romcom series or reading contemporary fiction, and sometimes geeking out over art history.
